AI-generated immersive videos for physical spaces and sensory experiences
In the world of hospitality, real estate, and advanced retail, it’s no longer enough to showcase a space: you need to bring it to life. The Vette e Onde Experience project was born from this specific need: to create artistic and immersive video content capable of transforming a physical space into a continuous, elegant, and seamless emotional experience.
The goal wasn’t to create a traditional promotional video, but to design a multisensory visual loop, conceived to exist in the space, engage with the architecture, and take the viewer on a perceptual journey inspired by Italy’s iconic landmarks.
A project where Artificial Intelligence becomes a creative and production tool, not a special effect.
The project was created with the organization of Vette e Onde, under the direction of organizers Arzanà and MC International. The video concept was developed in collaboration with Progetto Creativo as concept developer, while Openmall and Loto Studios handled the technical development and production.
The context of the project
An immersive video installation on two 90° screens. The brief called for the creation of a video intended to:
- run in a continuous loop with no discernible start or end points
- be projected onto two screens arranged at 90°, creating an immersive angle
- maintain a slow, relaxing and sensorial pace, suitable for reception and living spaces
- evoke Italianness not in a descriptive way, but through lights, materials, textures and sounds
The content had to exist within a single narrative environment, the so-called Chamber of Wonders, capable of gradually transforming without ever interrupting the experience.
The Challenge
Create a seamless visual continuum without physical locations
The main challenge wasn’t aesthetic, but technical and narrative. How could one evoke diverse environments like the Alpine mountains, the Mediterranean coast, and the Italian hinterland without changing locations, without editing cuts, without the perception of “different scenes”?
In a traditional production this would have required:
- multiple physical sets
- long 3D rendering phases
- complex compositing workflows
with costs and timescales that are not compatible with content designed to be flexible, updatable and scalable.
The Solution
A state-of-the-art generative AI pipeline for immersive videos
For Vette e Onde Experience, we designed and managed an advanced AI-driven video generation pipeline, built to ensure temporal continuity, lighting consistency, and seamless environmental transformations without ever introducing perceptible cuts. The goal was not to simulate a camera moving through different locations, but to allow the space itself to gradually transform around the viewer.
The Chamber of Wonders thus becomes a living canvas: textures organically shift and evolve, light cools or warms to accompany the narrative, surfaces evoke materials such as snow, wood, ceramic, and terracotta, while shadows suggest natural elements like waves, wind, or fire. Everything unfolds continuously and hypnotically, without any perceptible breaks.
The use of AI allowed us to significantly accelerate production while maintaining strong aesthetic consistency, explore creative variations without rebuilding the entire content from scratch, and optimize the video to function seamlessly in loop within immersive physical installations.
