Transforming corporate events into collective experiences through interactive multiplayer games.
Organizing a corporate event for hundreds or even thousands of people comes with a clear challenge: keeping the audience engaged. Traditional event formats often turn participants into passive spectators, limiting interaction and reducing overall engagement.
This is why event gamification has become one of the most effective ways to transform a corporate event into a truly participatory experience, using game mechanics, leaderboards, and real-time challenges to actively engage attendees.
For an international event in the Dominican Republic, Loto Studios developed The Game Show, a format featuring two multiplayer games designed for a competition between ten international teams. Inspired by surfing and the tropical atmosphere of the Caribbean, the concept was brought to life through vibrant colors, marine-inspired environments, and a visual identity designed for large LED screens.
A Customized Format for an International Event
The client wanted to replace a traditional entertainment activity with a proprietary format capable of highlighting both the event’s identity and the participating teams.
Each team represented a different nationality and was identified through dedicated icons, custom visual assets, and a real-time scoring system. The entire experience was designed to keep the competition clear and easy to follow, allowing participants to track rankings, game rounds, and results effortlessly throughout the event.

The Challenge
Designing and delivering a live, team-based competitive format
The goal of the project was to create an experience capable of turning over a thousand participants into active protagonists of the event, while keeping the game dynamics and team competition clearly understandable at all times.
From a technical perspective, the main challenge was building a system capable of synchronizing multiple devices and interfaces simultaneously, ensuring real-time updates of scores, rankings, and game states. The entire experience had to be accessible without any installation, leveraging smartphones, tablets, and existing control stations at the event.
Alongside the technological aspects, the visual component was critical. All information needed to remain fully legible on large LED screens and in crowded environments, without compromising the strong visual impact required for the stage design.
The final result therefore had to combine design, technology, and game mechanics into a single seamless multiplayer experience, stable and easy for the host to manage throughout all phases of the event.
The Solution
An ecosystem of real-time synchronized multiplayer games
To address these needs, Loto Studios has developed an interactive platform consisting of multiple devices synchronized over the same local network.
The host was provided with a dedicated control panel to manage the various stages of the format. A second touchscreen device enabled the activation of game mechanics, while the main display showed real-time scores, rankings, active teams, and transitions between rounds. The entire architecture was designed to ensure operational reliability throughout all gameplay sessions.
Within this infrastructure, two distinct yet complementary formats have been developed: Waveboard and Grand Prix.

Waveboard: the interactive surf-themed wheel game
The first game developed for The Game Show is Waveboard, a fully customized interactive wheel game inspired by surfing. The entire experience runs on three devices connected to the same local network: a control panel for the host, a tablet used to spin and trigger the wheel, and a main display projected for the audience. There is no reliance on external platforms, ensuring maximum reliability during live execution.
The interface reflects the colors and iconic elements of the marine environment: surfboards, waves, sand, and details inspired by tropical beaches. The wheel is divided into segments with alternating color tones and is controlled by the host through a dedicated touch interface.
Special attention was given to the animations. The spin initiation, deceleration phase, and final reveal were designed to build anticipation and enhance the outcome. Glow effects, dynamic transitions, and water-inspired particles accompany each stage of the game.
The competition unfolds across multiple rounds, while the system automatically updates scores and rankings, keeping the status of all ten participating teams constantly visible.
Grand Prix: the smartphone-controlled multiplayer game
The second format is Grand Prix, a multiplayer experience accessible directly from smartphones via QR code.
Once inside the game, participants select their rider from the available options and contribute to their team’s performance through a rhythm-based mechanic. During the race, players must synchronize their inputs by following a visual indicator displayed on their device.
The effectiveness of the collective action determines the surfer’s position on the wave: higher synchronization allows them to reach the crest, while errors or lack of coordination reduce performance.
The main display shows the race progress, team positions, and updated rankings in real time. This structure transforms the individual experience into a collective competition, where the outcome depends on each team’s ability to act in a coordinated way.

High-engagement gamification for corporate events
Turn audiences into active participants through interactive multiplayer games accessible via smartphones and large screens. Every action is shared in real time, increasing attention and engagement throughout the entire event.

Real-time synchronized multiplayer experiences
Interactions between smartphones, control panels, and main displays are seamlessly coordinated over a local network. This ensures instant updates of scores, rankings, and game dynamics with no perceptible delay.

Tailor-made corporate entertainment with no installations required
Each experience is designed for corporate events and team building activities, accessible via QR code with no downloads or apps required. The result is a fast-to-deploy system, easy to use and highly customizable to match the event’s branding.
Why it works: the principles behind our gamification approach
Behind the engaging aesthetics lies a rigorous engineering approach. For us, an event game is not a video game – it is a live entertainment system. This means that certain priorities come before everything else.
For large-scale events, certain principles become essential:
- Immediate accessibility for all participants.
- Stability over features.
- Responsiveness over complexity.
- Clarity over purely decorative aesthetics.
This balance between refined art direction and technical robustness is what distinguishes a memorable activation from a simple entertainment animation.
What we can create for your event
The two games described are just an example of the gamification experiences we design. Our work covers the entire pipeline: from concept development and format design, to art direction, multiplayer software development, creation of 2D and 3D assets, and on-site technical support during the event.
We create interactive multiplayer experiences, VR and AR activations, content for LED walls and large-scale displays, QR-code-accessible web applications, and entertainment systems for corporate conventions and team-building events. Each project is tailor-made around the client’s engagement goals and brand identity.
