Digital corporate events and virtual production – Nexi Digital Week and the transformation of corporate events.
The Nexi Digital Week project represents an advanced case of digital corporate events and immersive corporate communication, where technology, digital scenography, and virtual direction come together to redefine the concept of a corporate convention.
The goal was to transform a major physical event, dedicated to partner banks and the Nexi network, into a fully digital experience while maintaining high levels of engagement, interaction, and narrative quality.
Through an approach based on virtual environments for corporate events and immersive digital experiences, the project overcame the limits of traditional streaming, introducing a new, more scenic and interactive communication method.

THE CHALLENGE
Nexi – Nexi Digital Week: Engagement and identity in the digital format
The main challenge of the project was to recreate online the impact of a physical event, namely the Nexi annual convention, a highly important event involving partner banks, while preserving the brand identity and the strong communication typical of live conventions.
It was necessary to develop a solution capable of:
- Maintaining engagement during a large-scale digital event
- Recreate a set design consistent with Nexi’s visual identity
- Integrate speakers, content, and presentations into a credible virtual environment
- Ensure continuity between corporate storytelling and live direction
The focus was on building an immersive experience for digital corporate events, capable of combining communication, technology, and visual impact.
THE SOLUTION
3D content and virtual production for an XR television studio
To meet these requirements, a 3D content pipeline for virtual production was developed, intended for a partner XR (extended reality) television studio used to stage the event.
The production included the creation of highly complex digital assets integrated into a workflow designed for live direction and real-time broadcast. In collaboration with our partner, we ensured seamless integration between the physical and digital worlds and a smooth transition between real and virtual elements, creating a cohesive and engaging experience for viewers.
Among the elements developed:
- Realistic 3D environments inspired by Nexi’s headquarters
- Digital reconstruction of urban landmarks such as the Arco della Pace
- Virtual set designs for corporate presentations and keynote speeches
- Seamless integration between the physical set and the XR digital environment
This approach made it possible to create a virtual set production for digital events that is coherent, flexible, and highly immersive, enhancing the overall quality of communication.
