The project was born with the aim of transforming traditional biofeedback into an immersive, engaging, and data-driven experience, usable in clinical, sports, educational, and corporate wellbeing contexts.

Through interactive virtual environments, biometric systems, and behavioral analytics, Augmented Performance allows you to train attention, body awareness, and emotional regulation through various immersive scenarios that evolve based on the physiological parameters detected during the session.

The Challenge

Development of an advanced XR platform based on biological feedback and real-time physiological data

BECOME needed to develop an advanced XR platform capable of integrating immersive Virtual Reality, biosensors and analytics systems into a single intelligent software ecosystem.

The goal was to build dynamic virtual environments capable of reacting in real time to the user’s physiological data, transforming biofeedback into an immersive experience with high cognitive and emotional engagement.

The Solution

Immersive data-driven platform for biofeedback in virtual reality

Loto Studios has designed an XR ecosystem developed in Unreal Engine that connects immersive environments, biosensors and real-time analytics systems.

The platform continuously processes data from smartwatches, heart rate monitors, and biometric sensors (HR/HRV, neurofeedback, and external sensors), using them to dynamically modify the behavior of the virtual experience.

Virtual environments react in real time to the user’s physiological state, adapting emotional intensity, lighting, spatial audio, ambient atmosphere, and the behavior of scenic elements.

This approach transforms VR into an intelligent software platform capable of interpreting behaviors, collecting experiential telemetry, and generating actionable insights.

XR biofeedback systems for real-time behavioral and physiological analysis

The experiences developed simulate highly emotionally charged scenarios, designed to train emotional regulation, attention, and physiological control.

Each scenario evolves dynamically based on the heart rate detected in real time by the biofeedback system. For example, an increase in stress or physiological activation can alter the storm’s severity, the intensity of the eruption, crowd behavior, or the atmosphere of the scenario, creating a direct link between bodily state and immersive experience.
