Real-time 3D as an interactive digital experience for automotive customization

Loto Studios collaborated with Dallara to develop an advanced real-time configurator system dedicated to the Dallara Stradale, with the goal of delivering a smooth, high visual quality experience that is also easily scalable for future models.
The Challenge

The customer wanted an intuitive tool to use in commercial and promotional contexts, able to manage the display of all available variants and options, while ensuring the possibility to easily expand the system to include new configurations in the future.
The work required close collaboration with the Dallara team to ensure product fidelity and a user experience consistent with the brand identity.
The Solution
Real-time configurator in Unreal Engine for Pixel Streaming
We implemented an interactive configurator in Unreal Engine 5, leveraging real-time rendering features to deliver a smooth, visually high-impact experience.
Among the main features included:
- Dynamic selection of colors, wheels, interiors and materials
- Detailed visualization and interactive management of options and accessories
- Intuitive, branded UX/UI interface optimized for a smooth user experience
- Modular system for updates and new product variants, namely new configurations
Access and use of the configurator via web-based Pixel Streaming
The configurator was released to be used remotely via Pixel Streaming, allowing Dallara dealers to access the tool directly through a browser, without the need to install software or have advanced hardware.
This approach has ensured:
- Maximum accessibility: immediate use on desktop and mobile devices.
- Centralized real-time updates
- Visual quality suitable for a product whose objective is quality itself, independent of the device
- Optimization of commercial distribution processes
